Two-Player Janggi on One Device
Sit Together, Let Cho Move First
Put a phone or tablet between you and start playing—there is no room to create or connection to wait for. Cho moves first: tap a piece, then its destination. Agree on takebacks before you begin, and swap Cho for the next game if you are keeping score.
Before You Start
Keep the device between you. Cho picks a piece, then a square it can reach.
Before your first game, remember two things: a cannon must jump a screen, and two generals may legally face each other.
Agree on takebacks before the first move. For a match, play two games and swap Cho.

See Whose Turn It Is
The status bar shows whose turn it is. Tap one of your pieces to see its legal squares, then tap a destination to make the move. Picked the wrong piece? Just choose another—it does not count as a turn. Pass the device over once the color changes.

Highlights Only Mean Legal
Most disagreements come down to whether a cannon has a valid screen, an elephant is blocked, or the general can use a palace diagonal. The highlights already apply those rules. A lit square is legal, not necessarily the best move.

Each Person Starts One Game
In one game, Cho always moves first. To keep score, play two and swap Cho for the second. The move list records every start and end square, so you can replay the point where a cannon line opened.
